Welcome to the dashing personal tumblr of an equally dashing raconteur, famed alchemist and master lion tamer -- I enjoy collecting cursed inheritance, the smell of hammers half-buried in damp soil and filling description sidebars with ballsy lies. Expect danger, lulz, illustration, ADVENTURRRE (all-caps, three R's), comics and magnificent beards.

I based the colour palette of this theme on a picture of a cold cat. That's all you really need to know.

Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor, modified by loish. Note: None of the images posted to this tumblr belong to me. I try to have a click-through link or the source listed next to whatever images I post. Images without a source are tagged with source unknown, if you know the source please let me know on my ask page.

Beast (Hank McCoy) character sketch from X-Men Manga by Raina Telgemeier, Dave Roman and Anzu - Del Rey Manga
I vaguely remember hearing about this X-Men manga, some fanboys were raging about how the strange world of shoujo was no place for mutants and generally acting like such an adaption was THE END TIMES etc…
I didn’t really care because X-Men isn’t my thing, but OMG How adorable is manga!Beast? With his little X-tie and wee pince-nez. He’s like some kind of huge plush animal toy I want to win in a carnival game and give to my best fella.
Also, the note up top clearly says ‘walks like a penguins’ typo or not that’s a fun visual.

This is pretty cool, but he basically looks just like Totoro? I mean, I am all for homages, but I am wary of the whole “all manga looks like THIS” type of vibe western comics often put out.

Holy crap! I can’t believe I didn’t see it before. …but the Totoro-ness makes me love it even more, if that even makes any sense?
If only because I’m now imagining a Hayao Miyazaki/Marvel Universe crossover. Kitty’s Delivery Service, Magneto’s Moving Castle, Asgard:City in the Sky. Doom!Yubaba. Okay I’m stopping now.

Time to raise the curtain on Act II of this Music Meister spam and usher in a new world order where the theater geek reigns supreme. I hope you like your musical parodies fresh and awesome …and with a Ph.D. in horribleness!
